Our Beliefs

As Baptists, we believe...

• We should love the Lord God with all our heart, mind and soul and love our neighbors as ourselves.

• Jesus was fully human and fully God.

• The church is the mission of the church to teach the Word of God, to spread the gospel to the whole world, to help the poor and the needy.

 • God is loving, righteous, just, all knowing, all powerful, forever, and ruler over everything.

• The Holy Spirit advocates for us, teaches us, prays for us, gives us gifts of ministry, and provides guidance for the spread of the gospel.

• Christians should cheerfully and regularly contribute to the expenses of the Church, the relief of the poor and needy and the spread of the Gospel.

• God is three in one.  God the Father, God the Son - Jesus, and God the Holy Spirit.

• The Holy Spirit convinces people they need a savior and will give them a new heart when they repent of their sins and trust in Jesus to save them.

• Baptism is the outer expression of the inner change that has taken place in our hearts.  When we are baptized, we are declaring to everyone that we are trusting in Jesus to save us from our sins.

• The Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God and without error as written in the original languages.

• Jesus was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, was crucified dead and buried.  On the third day He arose from the dead and ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. He willingly laid His life down as a sacrifice for the forgiveness of our sins. Jesus will return in the clouds of heaven to rapture all believers in the Word of God, the living and the dead, and they will be with Jesus, forever.

Hebrews 10:24-25

"And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching."
